Who We Are

Build Skills Ireland was created from a passion for practical learning, craftsmanship and giving young people real hands-on experience in construction and creative trade skills. Based in our working workshop environment in County Tipperary, our programmes were developed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world practical skills.

With years of experience across construction, specialist concrete manufacturing, decorative finishes and workshop production, our team brings genuine industry knowledge into every course. Students are introduced to real tools, materials and processes in a safe, engaging and supportive environment where learning is built around participation and creativity.

Our TY Trade Skills Programme is designed for all students — not just those considering a trade career. The course encourages confidence, teamwork, problem solving and practical thinking while giving students the opportunity to try a wide variety of hands-on skills including carpentry, concrete work, tiling, decorative finishes, power tools, workshop safety and creative construction projects such as planter and bench making.

At Build Skills Ireland, we believe practical skills are valuable for everyone. Whether students progress into construction, design, engineering, architecture, apprenticeships or simply gain confidence using tools and materials, our aim is to provide an experience that is educational, enjoyable and genuinely memorable.
