Drylining and Gyproc

Students will learn the fundamentals of drylining and Gyproc installation by working directly on the timber frames they have constructed during the carpentry module. This hands-on programme introduces students to measuring, cutting and fixing plasterboard, along with understanding stud layout, screw placement, jointing methods and finishing preparation. Students will gain practical experience using professional tools and materials commonly used across modern construction and interior fit-out projects.

The module also introduces safe handling techniques, accurate measuring skills and the importance of precision when creating internal walls and partitions. By completing the full process from timber framing to plasterboard installation, students gain a realistic understanding of how modern interior wall systems are built on construction sites today.
